Obituary of June Willson

WILLSON: June. A resident of Chatham, June Willson passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the age of 83. June was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Parker) Mifflin. Beloved wife of the late Fred Willson (2007). Loving mother of Carl Willson of Oshawa, Ann and Michael Bouwmeester of Chatham, Mike Willson of Blenheim and Barb and Ron Bodnar of Chatham. Proud grandmother of Bruce French of Toronto, Sarah French of Ottawa, Matthew Willson of Blenheim and Karlene Willson, Victoria Bodnar, and Jessica Bodnar, all of Chatham. Dear sister to Kathleen Charlton of Glenwood and Arlene and Rick Allen of Chatham. Predeceased by her brother Ivan Mifflin. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Catherine Mifflin of Chatham, as well as several nieces and nephews. June and Fred were long time volunteers for St. John Ambulance. She volunteered extensively for many years, always assisting with activities her family was involved in, and within her church community at St. Andrew’s United Church in Chatham. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 85 William Street, South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 with Rev. Mark Perry officiating. Cremation will follow with a family inurnment to be held at Shanks Cemetery at a later date.
