Obituary of Ernie Moore

MOORE, Ernest Lyle A resident of Riverview Gardens and formerly of Ridgetown and Duart, Ernie Moore, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus. Born 92 years ago on August 28, 1922, son of the late Richard James & Edna Groves Moore. Beloved husband of 65 years to Clarice Moore who resides at Riverview Gardens. Loving father of John Randolph & Tracey Moore of Chatham, Richard David & Daphne Moore of New Jersey, Jordan Patrick Moore of Blenheim, Ruth Anne Mazan & Rainne Wilson of Chatham. Forever missed by his grandchildren Jeremy, Rick, Chad Moore, Robert Creasor, Kristal Schrank, Eric Moore, Hannah Moore, Sara, Jeff, Dale Mazan, and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his 5 brothers Morden, Morley, Vern, Jack, Alex, and sister Isabel. Ernie worked at Orford Farmers Cooperative (Agris), Muirkirk for 43 years before his retirement to the Ridgetown Golf Course, where he golfed 27 holes a day. Ernie sang with the Kings Servants Quartet, Duart Presbyterian Church Choir, Mount Zion Presbyterian Church Choir, Ridgetown, and played the steel guitar. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
