Obituary of Steven Bonner
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Bernard Bonner, better known as "Bones" on July 2nd 2023 at the age of 67. Steve passed away with his loving daughter by his side at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance after a brief battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his father, James Bernard "Ben", mother Nancy Irene (Benore), brother Jimmy and in-laws Edward and Dorothy Chepeka.
Survived by his daughter Stephanie Bonner and son-in-law Matthew Woudenberg, his best friend and ex wife Cathy Bonner, his sister Susie Lynn (Gary) Demers, and brothers Terry (Albertine), Tim (Judy) and Tom (Dawn) Bonner. Steve will also be remembered by his in-laws Tom (Roberta), Dennis, Duane Chepeka, Carol (James) Evans, Donna Wieringa and Pam (Tom) Tanton along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve worked for years as a marketing rep for News Marketing Canada before retiring in 2021 to enjoy the things he loved most, watching Blue Jays baseball, horse racing, fishing and spending time with his family.
As per Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life for friends and family to honor Steve will be held on August 19th 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at 63 Wiltshire Dr. In Chatham.
Steve's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Chatham Kent Health Alliance for their support during this difficult time.
Donations to the Charity of your choosing in honour of Steven's Memory would be appreciated by the family.
