Krisza-Doman: Betty Louise (née Hornick) -
A resident of Chatham, Betty Krisza passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on November 24, 2023 at the age of 85.
Born in Dawn Township, Betty was the daughter of the late Allan and Margaret (née Deighton) Hornick.
Beloved wife of Bob.
Dear Mom to Cindy Rosseel (Rick), late Cheri Doman (late Mike Moran), Wendy Doman, Joni Doman (Lawrence Swift), Scott Doman, Linda Doman (Brad Hillman), Charlene Zruna (Jim), Robert Krisza (Kristy Reis), Karen Pinnsonneault (Alan).
Proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Foster sister to Clare Everitt (Muriel) and Stewart McTaggart (Pearl).
Sister-in-law to Lois Hornick-Salisbury, Nancy Everitt, Alex (Skip) Ronyson (Cheryl).
Betty will also be dearly missed by Ann Doman and her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers George Hornick, Ken Hornick (Janet), Lee Hornick and Jack Hornick (Evelyn); and her sister's Ella Dowswell (Wes), Madeline Colbourne (Norman), Margaret Kershaw (Sam). Predeceased by her foster brother's Murray Everitt (Evelyn) and Bernie Everitt. Predeceased by her long time friend and father of her children Ken Doman. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Bill Krisza.
It was an honour for Betty to be in service to others through her volunteering with the Women of the Moose. As a member for over 50 years, Betty held many positions within the organization including the Grand Regent; the head of the organization of nearly 500,000 women. Betty was honoured to travel internationally meeting members and becoming close friend with many.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 11:00 a.m until the Memorial Service to celebrate Betty's life at 1:00 p.m. A Women of the Moose Service will be held at 12:30 pm for those wishing to attend.
Donations made in memory of Betty to the Chatham Kent Hospice or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
