Obituary of Scott Paine

Scott Geoffrey Paine (July 9, 1974 - November 1, 2024)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Scott Paine, at the age of 50. Losing our dear brother who we protected, looked out for and loved, leaves us far too soon and for that we are deeply saddened.

Scott was a quiet, calm and loving person, who never said anything bad or wrong about anyone, and always loved to be around his family, especially at family gatherings where everyone laughed, talked and enjoyed a good meal together.

Scott is predeceased by our Mom, Norine Paine, April 12, 2023 and our dad, Ron Paine, October 4, 2024. He is survived by his loving brothers Tom (Jana) and Dave (Celeste) and will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews Paula Paine (Tim VanRootselaar), Joshua Paine (Bita), Christopher Paine, Michael Paine and great-nephew Theodore Paine. Scott also leaves behind many extended family members, friends and neighbours.

We will always remember Scott as such a positive person with a gentle smile and an easy going nature who never asked for anything in life other than respect and kindness.

From the Paine Family,

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”

- Winnie the Pooh

We will be respecting Scott’s wishes for cremation at this time. A private family burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Ridgetown with a Celebration of Life will take place at a date in the future.

Should you wish to make a donation, they can be made in memory of Scott to the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation or Community Living Chatham-Kent
