Obituary of Agnes Gambeta

Gambeta: Agnes Theresa (née Girard) -

A resident of Chatham, Agnes Gambeta passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on November 18, 2024 at the age of 89.

Born in Windsor, Agnes was the daughter of the late Philip and Lavina (née Ouelette) Girard.

Agnes was loving mother to Ed (Kerry) Gambeta, Mike (Leanne) Gambeta, Cheryl (Gaeton) Lefebvre, Christine Kennedy and predeceased by Jim (2002) (Shelley) Gambeta.

She will be deeply missed by family members Hope Gambeta and Lindsay Wakem.

Cherished grandma to 14 and adored GG to 12.

Loving sister to 11 siblings.

She will be deeply missed by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Agnes loved her family more than anything, but most of all she cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her green thumb and was always found working in her garden, when you couldn't find her in the garden you could find her in the kitchen making one of her delicious recipes. She loved to drink her tea and work on her crossword puzzles. Agnes was an avid animal lover, but most importantly she loved her cat Mojo.

Family to receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham between 4:00pm - 8:00pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in memory of Agnes at the Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow and a private family interment will be held at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Agnes to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or Pet and WildLife Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
